What You’ll Do:
As a Blue intern, you’ll gain meaningful, hands-on experience by contributing directly to our client service teams. You’ll be supported by mentors, receive real-time feedback, and collaborate with coworkers, leadership, and client business owners.
Depending on your practice group, your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with audits and reviews
- Understanding the impact of business transactions on the financial statements and cultivating the “business advisor” perspective
- Preparation of basic financial statements and schedules for clients
- Assistance on Medicaid/Medicare cost reports analysis for health care facilities
- Analysis related to mergers, acquisitions, litigation, ESOPs, and estate and succession planning
- Strong academic performance (Minimum GPA 3.2)
- Accounting, Finance or related major on track to meet the requirements for CPA exam
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, PPT, Outlook and Excel
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills
- Success in working independently and as part of a team
- Available to work overtime hours including evening/weekends and travel as necessary
- Exhibit strong communication skills - willingness to ask questions to gain knowledge of complex subjects
- Authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis
