Blue Chip Talent, in partnership with a global professional services organization, is seeking a skilled Senior Financial Reporting Accountant. This role is responsible for preparing global financial statements, supporting technical accounting initiatives, and serving as a key internal advisor on complex accounting topics.
Job Duties
- Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and supporting disclosures
- Draft technical accounting memos and whitepapers on complex transactions
- Manage accounting for stock-based compensation and related tracking systems
- Provide strategic accounting guidance to global teams, including on leases and M&A
- Perform monthly financial statement analytical reviews and variance analysis
- Act as a liaison to external auditors, supporting audit preparation and fieldwork
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and contribute to adoption of new standards
- Lead accounting-related projects with minimal oversight
Skills & Experience
Required
- CPA designation
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
- 3–4 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm preferred)
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including stock-based compensation, lease, and M&A accounting
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements and footnote disclosures
- Experience writing technical accounting memos
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Desired
- SAP S/4HANA experience
- Exposure to hedge accounting
- Familiarity with global reporting standards or international team collaboration
- Experience with equity or stock comp tracking systems
