Armed Guard

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Armed Guard to join our security team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for safeguarding personnel, property, and assets through active surveillance, access control, and emergency response. Your expertise in law enforcement procedures, firearm handling, and conflict management will ensure a secure environment while providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff alike. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patrols of the premises using CCTV surveillance systems and physical patrols to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
• Manage access control systems by verifying identities, performing background checks, and authorizing entry for authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors
• Respond promptly to emergencies by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats, including operating AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and Taser devices when necessary
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other noteworthy events with clarity and accuracy
• Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when required for equipment or supplies related to security operations
• Enforce compliance with security regulations and company policies through conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills
• Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents by providing relevant information and support as needed

Experience

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields demonstrating strong surveillance capabilities and physical security expertise
• Knowledge of incident report writing and emergency response procedures
• Training in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, fire safety protocols, and conflict de-escalation techniques
• Familiarity with firearm handling, Tasers, and other security equipment required for armed security positions
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage tense situations professionally while maintaining a positive attitude
