Apartment Turnover / Renovation Technician – Jacksonville, FL
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Turnover / Renovation Technician to join our apartment maintenance team in Jacksonville. This position will focus primarily on preparing vacant apartments for new residents, including flooring installation, painting, repairs, and renovations.
We are looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable, works efficiently, and takes pride in producing a clean, quality finished product.
Pay varies based on experience and skill level.
Responsibilities
- Apartment Turnovers: Prepare vacant apartments for new residents and complete turnover work within established timelines.
- Flooring: Remove and install flooring, including vinyl plank/LVT.
- Painting: Prep and paint apartment interiors, including walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and other surfaces as needed.
- Drywall & Wall Repairs: Patch holes, repair drywall, perform minor texture work, and prepare surfaces for painting.
- Carpentry & Repairs: Perform basic carpentry and general repairs, including doors, trim, cabinets, shelving, hardware, and fixtures.
- Kitchen & Bathroom Updates: Assist with replacement or repair of cabinets, countertops, vanities, fixtures, tile, and other finishes.
- General Renovation Work: Complete repairs and improvements needed to bring vacant units to rent-ready condition.
- Quality Control: Ensure completed units are clean, safe, functional, and ready for new residents.
- Tools & Materials: Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and materials and keep work areas organized.
- Teamwork: Work with other members of the turnover and maintenance team to complete units efficiently and on schedule.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with apartment turnovers, renovations, construction, remodeling, or similar work preferred.
- Experience installing vinyl/LVT flooring strongly preferred.
- Painting and surface-preparation experience.
- Basic drywall, carpentry, and general repair skills.
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to use common hand and power tools safely.
- Strong attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Dependable and able to manage time effectively.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working in varying conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
