Position Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our field operations team and help manage, coach, and develop our maintenance technicians. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Most of our work involves residential maintenance and handyman services. While extensive construction experience is not required, maintenance, construction, or handyman experience is highly preferred.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Rotating Saturday On-Call Coverage

Assistant Project Manager Position Summary:
- Supervise and support maintenance technicians to ensure work orders are completed to company standards.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance management as needed.
- Coordinate with the Logistics Manager to ensure technicians are assigned to jobs that match their skill sets.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and other departments to maintain efficient operations and high customer satisfaction.
- Create and review estimates for assigned projects.
- Verify approvals and work order documentation before work begins.
- Maintain accurate work order information and notes.
- Manage technician training, equipment needs, and overall performance.
- Review completed work orders and supporting documentation for quality control.
- Inspect photos and job documentation to ensure work has been completed properly.
- Approve technician completions and process technician payments accurately and promptly.
- Assist with field visits and project oversight throughout the Tampa area.
- Assist in the field to help complete outstanding work when necessary.
Assistant Project Manager Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working on the phone and computer throughout the day
- Positive attitude and willingness to accept feedback
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel preferred
- Maintenance, construction, handyman, or property maintenance experience highly preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
