Senior Quality Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support and enhance their Quality Management System while driving the resolution of customer complaints, warranty claims, and supplier quality issues. This individual will serve as a key resource for corrective action initiatives, root cause investigations, supplier quality activities, and continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong manufacturing quality background, experience working within an ISO 9001 environment, and a practical understanding of fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to improve product quality, strengthen quality systems, and drive long-term operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Customer Corrective Action Requests (CCARs) from initiation through closure.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to investigate and resolve nonconformance and warranty-related issues.
- Drive root cause analysis, product failure investigations, and corrective action implementation to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
- Communicate corrective action status and maintain accurate documentation within the ERP system.
- Analyze quality data and identify opportunities for process improvement across internal operations and the supply base.
- Review and process remote quality inspections submitted by suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
- Conduct supplier site inspections and support supplier quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in supplier evaluations and quality audits as needed.
- Provide guidance and training on Root Cause Analysis methodologies and other quality tools.
- Support the ongoing development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain, and customer-facing teams to drive quality improvements and support business objectives.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Abilities

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience utilizing structured problem-solving and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; ERP system experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrates accountability, initiative, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Broad knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes.
- Experience working within an ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System.
- ASQ certifications and/or ISO 9001 certifications are preferred.
- Experience with supplier quality, corrective actions, warranty investigations, and manufacturing quality systems strongly preferred.
