Job Summary
Reporting to the Warranty Manager, this role is responsible for managing the supplier warranty process to maximize supplier reimbursement for Blue Bird incurred warranty expense due to supplier defects and part failures. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, maintaining and updating the warranty and systems software, processing warranty claims and other warranty related tasks.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Warranty Manager, this role is responsible for managing the supplier warranty process to maximize supplier reimbursement for Blue Bird incurred warranty expense due to supplier defects and part failures. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, maintaining and updating the warranty and systems software, processing warranty claims and other warranty related tasks.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage the warranty recovery process
- Manage all warranty claims
- Manage the warranty part return process
- Create and maintain supplier warranty KPI metrics
- Create ad-hoc warranty data analysis to communicate findings clearly and concisely
- Maintain and update tables within warranty software management system
- Develop basic coding to create warranty metric reporting
- Administer the Blue Bird warranty policies and procedures fairly and consistently with the dealers, service centers, suppliers and customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with suppliers in a professional manner working through difficult and sensitive financial discussions
- Skilled in negotiation and collaboration
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel (creating complicated formulas, macros and data visualization)
- Basic knowledge of database management
- Previous experience using QlikSense or QlikView
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
- Aptitude to learn proprietary systems quickly
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years’ experience as a Warranty Administrator with previous automotive administrative work
- Experience in development and coding, highly preferred
- Knowledge of Blue Bird school/activity bus products, systems and components, preferred
- All candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Ability to anticipate and understand customer needs and provide guidance
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills to handle difficult and sensitive matters.
- Strong project management skills. Exposure to difficult or complex projects a plus.
