Job Summary
Blue Bench Brunchette is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Breakfast Service Assistant to support daily breakfast and brunch operations. This role involves assisting guests, supporting food and beverage service, preparing dining areas, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for customers.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide courteous, professional assistance.
- Help guests with seating, menus, and general restaurant questions.
- Assist servers with taking orders and communicating special requests.
- Support the preparation, plating, and delivery of breakfast and brunch items as needed.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
- Check orders for accuracy and proper presentation before delivery.
- Respond to guest requests and communicate concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Clear and reset tables between guests.
- Maintain clean and organized dining areas, counters, and service stations.
- Restock utensils, napkins, condiments, beverages, and other service supplies.
- Assist with dishwashing and routine cleaning tasks when needed.
- Support kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.
- Follow food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Communicate supply shortages, equipment concerns, and service issues to supervisors.
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily restaurant preparation.
- Work cooperatively with team members to maintain efficient service.
- Perform other breakfast service and support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, café, breakfast service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
