SUMMER POSITIONS for CERTIFIED TEACHERS and COACHES for CHILDREN'S DAY CAMP

Blue Bell Camp is the area's most renowned family owned and operated summer day camp for 80 years! Located on 15 magnificent, highly shaded acres with a staff made up entirely of certified school teachers and coaches, we are now seeking counselors for selective summer 2026 positions. Our specialists instruct any one of the following 20 activities:

Baseball, Lacrosse, Basketball, Football, Hockey, Newcombe, Soccer, Tennis

Swimming, Golf, Gymnastics/Fitness, Karate/Fencing, Archery, Fishing, Pioneering/Obstacle Course, Riflery, Track & Field

Arts & Crafts, Campfire Cookouts, Ceramics, Chess, Nature/Animals/Science, Music, Theater, Woodshop

The camp season is 8 weeks, June 22 - August 14, 2026, Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

$4,500-$5,000 starting salary. Yearly salary increases. $500 bonus for referring other teachers/coaches. Optional paid certifications available for certain activities.

We plan multiple counselor get-togethers in the evenings and off-season (home cooked meals, swimming, softball, Phillies game, etc.) where counselors can socialize and network with other like-minded teachers. ** MUST BE A COLLEGE GRADUATE OVER 23 YEARS OF AGE AND HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND A CAR.

**All counselors are required to have the standard recommended vaccinations (MMR, TDaP/Tetanus, etc.).

** We are looking for counselors who live in Center City Philadelphia, South Philadelphia, Manayunk, Delaware County/Main Line area, or South Jersey and who are available Monday-Friday for all 8 weeks of camp.

3 Main Responsibilities:

1. Teaching your specialist activity

2. Mentoring your group (your "homeroom" that you see a few a few times during the day such as at announcements and lunch)

3. Driving campers. Counselors are assigned a daily route based upon where they live. You would pick up the same couple of campers on your way to camp each day and drop them off on your way home (camp supplements the gasoline and may provide a camp vehicle and all gasoline depending on where you live).
