What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Framer position at BLU-D Construction?
Responsibilities
✅ Execute framing work: Walls, floors, roofs, stairs, and custom architectural features with precision.
✅ Interpret drawings & perform layout: Read plans; create accurate layouts using advanced tools.
✅ Manage materials & resources: Assist or lead take-offs, ordering, and tracking.
✅ Plan work & meet schedules: Balance speed and quality; align tasks to milestones.
✅ Lead & mentor (Journeyman/Foreman): Guide apprentices; delegate tasks; coordinate with other trades.
✅ Maintain tools & equipment: Clean, inspect, repair, and troubleshoot tools; ensure heavy equipment is fueled and serviced.
✅ Own jobsite safety: Follow OSHA protocols; participate in safety meetings and JSAs.
✅ Ensure structural integrity & compliance: Apply load-path principles; meet codes; prep for inspections.
✅ Document work: Maintain accurate records and daily reports.
Qualifications
- Journeyman 1: 2–4 years experience; works independently; strong layout skills.
- Journeyman 2 (Foreman): 5 years experience; proven leadership; deep code knowledge.
- Certifications: OSHA 10 (required for Journeyman 2/Foreman); heavy equipment cert preferred.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.

Pay: $20-$25 /hr
