Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. Our team requires assistance on Monday through Saturday. Please note that any cleanings scheduled on public holidays will be conveniently rescheduled. Each cleaning shift begins at 6 PM and must conclude before 12 AM at the latest. Monday through Friday involve basic surface cleanings, usually wrapping up within 3 hours. Saturdays are reserved for thorough, deep cleaning sessions, which may extend from 3 to 5 hours. The duration of each cleaning session is task-dependent, ensuring a spotless result every time. This role is customer-facing, offering opportunities to engage with clients and maintain a welcoming environment.
Duties:
- Perform custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow established safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness standards
Skills:
- Experience in custodial or commercial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and carry heavy objects as needed
Pay:
- Flat rate commission of $75 per cleaning standard cleaning and 125 for deep cleanings.
