We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our team on a major healthcare construction project. This position requires a skilled carpenter capable of performing multiple phases of commercial construction, from structural framing to finish work, while maintaining high standards of safety and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform rough carpentry and structural framing
- Install steel stud framing and backing
- Complete finish carpentry including trim, doors, and detailed finishes
- Install fixtures, millwork, and hardware
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
- Layout walls, openings, and framing accurately
- Safely operate power tools, saws, lifts, and carpentry equipment
- Maintain jobsite cleanliness and organization
- Work closely with superintendents, foremen, and other trades
- Assist with full build-out of hospital spaces, including patient rooms, corridors, and support areas
- Follow all safety standards and jobsite protocols
Qualifications
- Journeyman-level carpentry experience (commercial construction preferred)
- Strong experience in:
- Wood framing
- Steel stud framing
- Drywall backing
- Finish carpentry
- Fixture and millwork installation
- Ability to read construction drawings and layouts
- Experience working on large commercial or healthcare projects preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Climb ladders and scaffolding
- Work on your feet for extended periods
- Work in active construction environments
