Job Summary
Blow Molded Specialties is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Inspector to join our manufacturing team. If you take pride in precision, enjoy solving problems, and are passionate about producing high-quality products, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our products meet customer expectations and company quality standards. You'll work closely with Production, Processing, and Maintenance teams to inspect products, identify quality concerns, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement efforts.
Duties
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, scales, and other inspection equipment.
- Monitor production throughout the shift to verify consistent product quality.
- Identify and communicate quality issues quickly and accurately.
- Verify product labeling, packaging, and documentation meet customer requirements.
- Assist with root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
- Identify, segregate, and document nonconforming materials.
- Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and work instructions.
Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and scales.
- Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality inspection techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to accurately document inspection results and maintain quality records.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and quality management software.
- The ability to work independently and make sound quality decisions.
- A positive attitude and flexibility in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
