The Sales Advisor is responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience for our guests. This role ensures all customers walk away with a memorable experience that fosters trust and loyalty to you and our store. The sales advisor ensures all customer needs are, not only heard and met, but foreseen and exceeded throughout the sales process; and that transactions are accurately recorded in our point-of-sale (“POS”) and inventory tracking systems. We see this role as critical to our company brand, image, and upholding our Company Culture. The Sales Adviosr is “the face of the Company”.
Key Functions
- In addition to all responsibilities outlined below, and in order to promote a global mindset and to lead by example, a Sales Advisor may, at times, be responsible for all the same key functions of lateral roles including but may not be limited to inventory and security staff.

- Is highly knowledgeable about cannabis products and their various modes of consumption, cannabinoids, terpenes, and the endo-cannabinoid system, and all things cannabis, and is able to apply this knowledge to deliver individualized customer consultations and experiences.
- Remains highly in tune with product assortment, product availability, and trends.
- Is passionate about contributing to a culture of customer service and inspires others to do the same.
- Remains in tune with operational updates, active and upcoming specials and product drops, and transfers and clarifies information to fellow colleagues.
- Transfers feedback to leadership teams provided by customers and fellow colleagues.
- Assists customers in product selection based on individual preferences, goals, lifestyles, and product availability.
- Continually practices selling and service skills to increase sales and generate positive reviews.
- Provides knowledge and options customers; and educates customers on product usage.
- Completes required documentation for product sales and ensures all customer sales properly logged in the POS system.
- Accurately picks and pulls orders for sales fulfillment (online and in-person).
- Performs all sales transactions in compliance with all State and local laws governing the sale of cannabis products.
- Responsible for accurate cash handling on assigned register and for the accurate cash balance of assigned tills.
- Assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized operating environment.
- Complies with all safety and security protocols for dispensary staff.
- Performs assigned administrative tasks.
- Answers phones, responds to voicemail and responds to customer communications as assigned.
- Establishes on-going relationships with dispensary customers and completes customer profiles to assist in future sales and service opportunities.
- Maintains knowledge on new and existing products via vendor training, documentation, and cross-training with the management.
- Complies with all safety and security protocols for dispensary staff.
Essential Skills
- Ability to work with various technologies, such as label printers, scanners, printers, etc.
- Comfortable with various software, such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office (including Excel), POS and Inventory tracking platforms.
- Must learn compliance and regulatory demands pertaining to cannabis.
- Ability to assume a strong passion for cannabis knowledge and education, as it pertains to products.
- Ability to understand policies and procedures and follow appropriately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years of experience working in a customer service environment with cash handling responsibilities, preferably in retail or hospitality. Experience in regulated cannabis or other highly regulated industry is desirable.
- Background checks and certifications required according to State and local law.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
