What are the responsibilities and job description for the Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapist position at Blossoming Behavior, Applied Behavior Analysts?
Based out of Long Island, Blossoming Behavior is an agency devoted to providing quality service to families across the New York metropolitan area. Our therapists at Blossoming Behavior help children and young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder reach goals set in treatment plans by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methods.
We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented professionals who are comfortable working in home-based settings to join our team of passionate ABA therapists.
Case locations needing ABA servicing include Long Island, Brooklyn, Staten Island, and Queens.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Participate in collaborative team meetings
- Regularly brief families on sessions and provide resources or applicable strategies
- Document sessions and activity
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 1 year working with children ages 2 - 21 in a supervised setting
- OR -
Successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program (psychology, healthcare, human services, education, or related field preferred)
- Experience using ABA preferred*
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with children, family members, and supervisor
- Physical Requirements include the ability to climb/descend staircases, lift 10lbs regularly and sit on the floor, kneel, and/or crawl
