Ecological Landscape Designer
40 hours/week

Blossom is an established local Landscape Design-Build-Maintenance Firm looking for a new dedicated team member ready to work hard and grow with us! We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, designer with 3 years experience to support our design shop. Our company is rooted in ecological design with both permaculture and landscape design backgrounds. Most of our work is high-end residential design with a focus on habitat creation, climate-adapted plants, and water-wise landscaping. We work with the City of Portland’s Green Streets Program and have branched into commercial projects.
At Blossom your role will be varied and will require well-honed time management skills and task prioritization. Your work weeks will include site measuring, landscape design, documentation, and client meetings to name a few. We are looking for the right person to join our team for the long haul. Must Haves
- 3 years experience with landscape design
- Knowledge of landscape construction
- Demonstrated ability to carry a project from design through installation
- 2D Vectorworks 1 year
- Native Plant Knowledge
- Surveying Skills
- Degree in Landscape Design (or commensurate experience)
Bonus Skills
- Stormwater Management Techniques
- 3D Vectorworks
- Experience with construction detailing
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform a site survey
- Design landscapes for multiple residential clients
- Complete all design documentation in accordance with Blossom standards
- Manage client relationships
- Manage design and construction timelines
- Collaboration with Blossom team members and subcontractors
- Carry projects through from design to installation completion
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
