Responsibilities for DSP (Direct Support Professional) WESTLAKE:
- As a Direct Support Professional or DSP you will help assist individuals with daily personal tasks, including toileting, bathing, feeding, and dressing
- As a Direct Support Professional or DSP you will help assist in household tasks such as washing clothes, washing dishes and tidying
- Provide person-centered care in a family-style group home setting to individuals who may have cognitive impairments, chronic illnesses or other disabilities
- Encourage engagement in social networks and communities
Requirements for DSP (Direct Support Professional) WESTLAKE:
- Successfully pass a background check
- Valid driver’s license along with reliable transportation
- Proof of auto insurance
- Social Security card
Physical Requirements:
Due to the physical limitations of the individuals that we serve, this position requires being able to lift the individuals with the assistance of coworkers. All staff must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations such as fire drills and evacuations, unstable weather drills and ensuring individual safety at all times.
