Store Manager | Blossom Flower Bar | New Cincinnati Location

Blossom Flower Bar is opening its fourth Ohio location in Montgomery, and we’re looking for a Store Manager who can make guests feel welcome, build a strong team, and take ownership of the daily details.

You might come from specialty retail, hospitality, or another service-focused business. You know how to create an exceptional customer experience, coach employees, and keep operations running smoothly. Floral experience is welcome, but not required. We provide floral design training for the right leader.

Blossom is a full-service florist offering modern floral designs, everyday arrangements, and flowers for life’s celebrations. At our Flower Bar, guests become the designer, choosing flowers and creating arrangements with guidance from our team. We also host workshops and private parties that bring people together around flowers.

Our Cincinnati shop will join our locations in Lakewood, Pinecrest, and Columbus. We believe flowers should be something you experience, not just something you buy.

As Store Manager, you’ll help establish the Cincinnati shop’s team, service standards, and daily routines from the beginning. You’ll work alongside your team, welcoming guests, caring for flowers, creating arrangements, fulfilling orders, and hosting events.

This is an active, hands-on management position. You should be as comfortable processing a flower shipment or helping a first-time guest as you are coaching an employee or managing a schedule.

Create an exceptional guest experience

• Welcome guests warmly and help them feel comfortable, whether they’re buying a single stem, ordering a gift, or exploring the Flower Bar.
• Guide guests through flower selection and arrangement options with enthusiasm and clear, helpful recommendations.
• Build relationships that bring guests back and inspire them to tell others about Blossom.
• Handle questions and concerns with care, sound judgment, and follow-through.

Lead and develop the team

• Help hire, onboard, train, and schedule the Cincinnati team.
• Model attentive service and coach employees on greeting guests, starting conversations, making recommendations, and delivering a consistent experience.
• Set clear expectations, give constructive feedback, and address performance or attendance concerns promptly.
• Create a welcoming, accountable workplace where team members support one another.

Own daily shop operations

• Oversee and personally fulfill pickup and delivery orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and Blossom’s design standards.
• Process fresh flowers, maintain displays, monitor freshness, and keep the shop clean and organized.
• Manage floral and retail inventory, wholesale ordering, and store budgets with attention to costs and waste.
• Coordinate deliveries and make occasional deliveries as needed.
• Communicate staffing needs, operational concerns, and shop performance to ownership.

Bring the Blossom experience to life

• Lead in-store workshops and private parties, helping guests feel confident and enjoy the creative process.
• Ensure supplies, flowers, staffing, and the space are ready for each event.
• Build connections with neighboring businesses and the local community to help introduce Blossom to Montgomery.
  

• At least two years of management experience in retail, hospitality, or another customer-facing business, including direct responsibility for supervising employees.
• At least two years of experience delivering attentive, personalized customer service. This may overlap with your management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to train employees, coach service and sales skills, and hold a team accountable.
• Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to balance guests, orders, staffing, and daily tasks.
• Comfort making product recommendations and helping a team meet sales goals through thoughtful service.
• A willingness to learn floral design, flower care, and inventory management, and to apply feedback.
• Availability for weekend shifts, peak floral holidays, and occasional evening workshops or private events.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Experience opening a location, managing perishable inventory, hosting events, or building local business partnerships is a plus.
