The ABA Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) positions, including BCBAs, RBTs, Behavior Technicians, and other clinical support staff. This role focuses on sourcing qualified candidates, conducting screenings and interviews, and providing onboarding support to ensure a smooth transition into the organization. The ABA Recruiter partners closely with clinical leadership to meet staffing goals while maintaining compliance and quality hiring standards.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of recruiting experience (healthcare or ABA preferred)
  • Knowledge of ABA roles and credentialing requirements (BCBA, RBT)

1. Recruitment & Sourcing

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for ABA clinical and administrative roles
  • Post job openings on job boards, social media, and professional networks
  • Source candidates using platforms such as really, LinkedIn, and ABA-specific job boards
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for high-volume roles (e.g., RBTs)
  • Attend job fairs and networking events as needed

2. Screening

  • Review resumes and applications to assess qualifications and experience
  • Conduct initial phone/video screenings to evaluate:
  • Experience in ABA or related fieldsCertification status (BCBA, RBT, etc.)Availability and geographic preferencesCultural and organizational fit
  • Verify credentials, certifications, and eligibility requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)3. Interview Coordination & Support
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and clinical leaders
  • Conduct structured interviews using competency-based questions
  • Prepare interview scorecards and provide candidate evaluations
  • Collect and review feedback from interview panels
  • Communicate next steps and hiring decisions to candidates

4. Offer & Onboarding Support

  • Prepare and extend job offers
  • Negotiate compensation within approved guidelines
  • Initiate background checks and reference checks
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements (credential verification, TB test, etc.)
  • Support onboarding by:
  • Sending new hire paperworkEnsuring completion of compliance documentationCoordinating start dates and orientation schedulesPartnering with HR and clinical teams for smooth transitions
  • Posting and advertising open positions
  • Sourcing candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, and referrals
  • Reviewing resumes and screening applications
  • Conducting phone and video interviews
  • Assessing candidate qualifications and cultural fit
  • Verifying certifications (BCBA, RBT) and credentials
  • Scheduling interviews with hiring managers
  • Communicating with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Maintaining and updating the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Extending job offers and discussing compensation
  • Coordinating background checks and reference checks
  • Collecting and processing new hire documentation
  • Supporting onboarding and orientation scheduling
  • Tracking recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline status)

Tools and Technology

  • Gusto – Payroll processing, onboarding documentation, benefits administration, employee record management
  • Gmail – Candidate communication, interview coordination, internal team collaboration
  • Dialpad – Phone screenings, candidate follow-ups, interview scheduling calls, team communication
  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS) – Managing job postings, tracking applicants, maintaining hiring workflow

  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Meet) – Interview scheduling, documentation, reporting, and collaboration
  • Video Conferencing Platforms – Conducting virtual interviews
