Duties

  • Implement individualized treatment plans based on behavioral therapy principles, including ABA techniques, to support clients with autism
  • Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors and progress to inform ongoing treatment adjustments
  • Support patients during therapy sessions, ensuring their safety and comfort while promoting engagement in therapeutic activities
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, behavior logs, and records compliant with HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with supervisors, clinicians, and families to ensure consistency in intervention strategies across settings
  • Participate in ongoing training related to special education, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation, and behavioral health best practices

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy techniques, or special education methodologies is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with data collection methods and medical records management enhances effectiveness in this role
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, team members, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while demonstrating patience and compassion in all interactions
  • BCBA candidate (accruing supervision hours)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Open or flexible availability, including weekends
  • Able to commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week (part-time)
  • Reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license
  • Physically able to bend, kneel, lift 20 lbs, and keep up with active kids
  • Comfortable using technology (for data collection, scheduling, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred, but not required

  • Competitive pay starting at $20.00/hour based on experience, with an increase after 90 days of favorable performance review and annually thereafter
