Collections Specialist Job Description
Blossman Gas, America's largest independent propane company, is seeking a qualified Collections Specialist to join our team.
The Collections Specialist will work closely with the Credit & Collections Team and retail branch locations to minimize accounts receivables and ensure quality credit practices.
Main Responsibilities:
- Serving as a live representative on past due accounts through regular daily phone calls and written communication (letters and email)
- Regular processing of credit card and ACH payments including posting confirmations to accounts
- Communicating regularly with retail branch personnel to ensure proper communication and customer care
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of telephone collections experience
- Good knowledge of finance collection policies and procedures, fair debt collection practices, and related state collections laws
- Be friendly, flexible, and results-oriented
- Prior experience with MS Office
