The primary responsibilities for the Accounts Payable Specialist include :
- Daily processing of check requests and vendor invoices for a large volume of company accounts. This includes receiving, processing, and verifying the payment of invoices within a specific Accounting software system.
- Regular, professional verbal and written communication with vendors and company employees
- Perform regular data entry associated with Accounts Payable
- Review and reconcile any invoice discrepancies
- Conduct monthly reporting; utilize specific software programs and new technology
- Process company mail daily which includes picking up and delivering mail to the Ocean Springs, MS Post Office
- Assist with the annual audit as requested; collaborate with other Accounting-related functions to help the business
- Contribute to a team environment
