Duties
- Create eye-catching floral arrangements and bouquets tailored to customer preferences and occasions
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and related products, offering expert advice on floral design and plant care
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain organized stock levels by stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and managing inventory efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring satisfaction
- Support gardening and landscape maintenance tasks as needed, including plant upkeep
- Keep the sales area clean, organized, and inviting to enhance the shopping experience for all visitors
Qualifications
- Previous experience in floral design or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with retail math, cash handling, POS systems, and merchandising practices
- Knowledge of plant care techniques
- Excellent organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain visual displays effectively
- Passion for customer service with a friendly attitude and positive energy
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing physical tasks such as arranging flowers or stocking shelves
- Must have weekend (Friday-Sunday availability)
