What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef de Cuisine position at Bloomsday?
Bloomsday is a neighborhood restaurant, wine bar and retail shop in Headhouse Square, owned by Kelsey Bush and Zach Morris. Our kitchen is focused on thoughtful, seasonal cooking with a strong emphasis on scratch production, sourced largely from local farmers and producers.
We’re seeking a Chef de Cuisine to help lead the kitchen. This is a hands-on role for a confident, organized leader who enjoys collaboration and wants real influence over menu direction, team culture, and daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead kitchen operations and service execution
- Collaborative menu development and seasonal planning
- Collaborate with front of house management on service and hospitality standards
- Manage BOH scheduling, training, and staff development
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and organization
- Oversee labor, inventory, COGS, and vendor relationships
- Uphold safety, sanitation, and equipment standards

Bloomsday Hours
- Dinner: Wednesday–Saturday
- Brunch: Friday–Sunday
Compensation: Salary, based on experience
