What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trades Carpenter - Class IV position at Bloomington Public Schools?
- Obtain special boilers within 3 months and achieve continued licensure until a chief "C" is obtained (No more than 54 months from date of hire)
- Pool License ( or obtain within 6 months)
- Driver's License
- Trade Skills & Experience in Carpentry i.e. Sheetrock, Framing, Painting, Door hardware & Keys
- Acceptable attendance record
- Ability to lift 60 lbs
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have computer knowledge
- Must pass physical & physical ability test
- Ability to communicate with all staff
- Building Construction & Carpentry repairs
- Maintain & repair mechanical systems including hvac/mechanical/electrical & pool equipment
- Provide back up for chiefs and all central maintenance positions
- Provide back up for Delivery services i.e. freight/courier/food
- Maintain district buildings & grounds - sanding & plowing during winter months
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Other duties as assigned
