As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing support and assistance to ensure efficient operation of a fast pace family practice medical office. You will support the clinical team and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately in a timely manner with professionalism and high quality.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Assist with care coordination between patient and provider
- Maintains medical record
- Assist during medical examinations
- Administer immunizations
- Goal oriented, organized and have the ability to set priorities
Have interpersonal skills to deal professionally and respectfully with patients, staff, providers, and other health professionals both inside and outside the practice
- Have the ability to work effectively and tactfully with staff, patients, public and external agencies
- · Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills
- Perform manual vital on patients
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary preferred
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Computer program and medical software experience
