Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Landscape Technician to join our vibrant team dedicated to creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. As a Landscape Technician, you will play a vital role in executing landscape projects, ensuring the health and aesthetics of lawns, gardens, and hardscape features. Duties
- Support seasonal snow plowing operations during winter months to keep properties accessible and safe.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and site conditions for project documentation.
- Collaborate with team members on landscape design implementation and ensure safety standards are consistently met on-site.
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to maintain healthy turf and vibrant gardens.
- Conduct landscape maintenance such as pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and mulching to enhance landscape appearance.
- Operate hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools (trimmers, blowers, chainsaws) safely and efficiently to complete daily tasks.
- Utilize landscaping equipment like excavators and other machinery for site preparation, grading, or installing hardscape features such as patios or walkways.
- Carry out irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal watering of plants and lawns.
- Assist with construction projects including setting foundations for hardscape elements and installing retaining walls or pathways.
- Provide tree care services such as trimming, pruning, or removal using appropriate techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping, horticulture or related outdoor maintenance roles is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is highly valued.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating landscaping machinery like excavators or snow plows is advantageous.
- Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing techniques and fertilization methods.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance procedures such as pruning, planting, and hardscape installation.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools used in gardening and construction environments.
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Basic understanding of tree care practices including trimming and health assessment is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail; ability to follow instructions accurately while working independently or as part of a team. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
