Job Overview
Blooming House Montessori is a Spanish-Immersion Preschool and Kindergarten seeking enthusiastic and dedicated two (2) Montessori Head Teachers who are bilingual in Spanish to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and implement Montessori principles tailored to young learners. Your energetic approach will inspire children’s curiosity, support their developmental milestones, and promote a love for learning. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate Montessori curriculum plans for toddlers or primary-aged children, incorporating literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a warm, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independence, exploration, and positive behavior management.
- Lead daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, circle time, and hands-on learning experiences aligned with early childhood development standards.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members in both English and Spanish to support bilingual language development and cultural inclusivity.
- Monitor each child's progress through observation and assessment tools; adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student development, attendance, and behavioral records in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan school events, parent meetings, and professional development sessions focused on childhood education best practices.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; experience with children 1.5-3 year olds for the Toddler position and 3-6 year olds for the Primary position.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Montessori educational philosophy and curriculum development tailored for early childhood learners.
- Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff.
- Previous private school or daycare experience is a plus; certification in early childhood education AND Montessori training is REQUIRED.
