What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host Reservationist position at Blooming Hill?
Blooming Hill Farm is looking for a Host / Maitre D' to join our restaurant team. We are located on Route 208 between Monroe and Washingtonville. This a part time position and our main need is on weekends (but some weeknights will be available). The position pays up to 25$ per hour.
Responsibilities
- Answering the phones and booking reservations
- Greeting customers and making them feel welcome in the restaurant
- Seating guests at tables and brining menus
- Estimating wait time for guests during busy hours
- Clearing, setting tables & assisting serving when needed
- Working directly with the dining room managers to help control the door of the restaurant and get all guests seated & tables turned over in a timely fashion
Qualifications
- Friendly and outgoing personality such that you can greet guests entering the restaurant and manage seating them, or letting them know the wait time for tables effectively
- Ability to listen and communicate well with other team members
- Strong organizational skills and ability to use/learn a POS and reservation system
- Familiarity with RESY or other online reservation systems is a big plus (but not required)!
Wage
- Up to 25$/per hour based on experience.
- Opportunity to move up to a tipped server position eventually and make more.
