Job Summary
Medical Practice Manager (Part-Time → Growth Opportunity)
Blooming Health Medical Center is seeking an experienced Medical Practice Manager to assist with the startup and operational development of a new Primary Care, Mental Health and Wellness practice. Responsibilities include credentialing, EMR implementation, patient scheduling, office workflow development, forms creation, insurance verification, vendor coordination and administrative support. Position will begin part-time with opportunity to transition into a full-time leadership role as the practice grows.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical and administrative operations to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality patient care
- Manage fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation
- Supervise staff including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and human resources functions
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and other healthcare regulations
- Coordinate with medical providers on practice policies, scheduling, and patient care protocols
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction
- Oversee billing processes, managed care contracts, and utilization management
- Facilitate staff training on medical terminology, medical records management, and office procedures
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to support practice operations
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare management with a strong background in clinic.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms
- Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting and financial oversight
- Supervisory experience leading multidisciplinary teams within a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical records management
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, hospital or acute care experience preferred
- Ability to utilize human resources skills for staff development and conflict resolution
- Experience in managed care contracts and utilization management is advantageous
- Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to coordinate between clinical staff and administrative personnel
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
