Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal operation and safety. The Maintenance Technician will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently while adhering to safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and machinery.

· Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions or failures.

· Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

· Install, replace, or adjust components and parts as needed.

· Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics to perform accurate repairs.

· Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company policies.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

· Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance and minimize disruptions.

· Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.

· Operate tools and equipment safely and effectively, including power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic instruments.

· Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements in maintenance processes.

· Assist in training new team members on maintenance procedures and safety practices.

· Participate in emergency response and on-call rotations as required.

· Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment.

Essential Physical Requirements

· Must be able to lift 0 – 50 pounds frequently; 50 – 75 pounds occasionally; over 75 pounds rarely.

· Must be able to routinely stand, sit, stoop, twist, and bend throughout the required shift.

· Must have excellent manual dexterity and a level of ambidexterity.

· Visual acuity (corrected) required for inspecting work and reading written material, blueprints, work orders, etc.

· Hearing ability sufficient to monitor equipment sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action.

Skills and Abilities

· Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.

· Basic computer skills for record-keeping and maintenance management systems.

· Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in maintenance environments.

· Effective time management and multitasking abilities.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Familiarity with using standard measuring tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Education and Experience Required

· High School Diploma or GED.

· 2 years of experience in maintenance, repair, or related fields.

· Certification or technical training in maintenance or related areas preferred.

· Basic reading and math skills to follow instructions and calculate measurements.

· Valid state driver’s license required.

Reporting to your work area prepared and adhering to safety protocols are critical to maintaining a productive and safe work environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
