Key Responsibilities
- Break exclusive stories and deliver authoritative coverage of IMF and World Bank
- Build a strong network of sources across Bretton Woods institutions, their shareholders, and stakeholders
- Cover breaking news with speed, accuracy, and insight
- Provide sharp, insightful reporting on how IMF and World Bank policies affect the global economy
- Cover key events such as IMF/World Bank Spring and Fall Meetings and major developments in sovereign debt and crisis lending
Requirements
- 10 years of journalism experience
- Experience covering economics and/or finance
- Strong understanding of economics and roles of World Bank and IMF
- Deep sourcing or ability to quickly build trusted relationships with key players across government and intelligence communities
- Proven track record of breaking news and delivering high-impact enterprise stories
- Excellent writing skills and ability to deliver fast, clear, analytical copy under pressure
This role will include regular travel to major global economic meetings.
