What You Will Do:
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements and ensure all deadlines are met under a tight month-end close schedule.
- Develop and maintain internal and external reports and queries in the system and verify and analyze reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze large quantities of complex data, leveraging Excel skills to research and draw conclusions from financial data.
- Identify possible discrepancies in financial data or accounting calculations; develop or recommend solutions when needed.
- Manage accrual process for various business units, including reviewing the completeness and accuracy of accruals.
- Assist with external audit as well as internal controls assessment process.
- Partner with finance groups on various projects and work with other departments to ensure proper accounting for new or unique transactions.
- Comply with financial reporting requirements including census surveys.
You Need to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent experience. CPA desirable.
- 5 years’ experience in corporate or public accounting environment.
- Demonstrated experience of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- SAP experience preferred.
