We are looking for a caring, creative, and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher for our 3-year-old classroom in Southampton. Position Overview:
As the Lead Teacher for our 3's preschool classroom, you will guide children through meaningful play, discovery, and developmentally appropriate experiences. You’ll be responsible for creating a warm, engaging environment where each child feels seen, supported, and excited to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Promote positive social-emotional development and early foundational skills
- Foster a classroom culture that celebrates curiosity, kindness, and independence
- Communicate openly and regularly with parents about their child’s growth
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Document children’s progress through observations and assessments
- Collaborate with fellow educators and participate in staff meetings and trainings
- Follow all Bloom Learning Center policies and NYS childcare licensing regulations
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred)
- NYS Certification in Birth–2 or CDA credential (preferred)
- Minimum of 1–2 years experience in a preschool or early childhood classroom
- Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A warm, nurturing, and professional attitude with a passion for early learning
Schedule & Compensation:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM
