Job Overview
At Bloom&Womb, we are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, empathy, and compassion to patients and families.
Duties
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems).
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with accuracy and confidence.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes clearly and confidently while ensuring their comfort.
- Support clinical staff with procedures including physical exams, medication administration, and wound care.
- Document clinical notes accurately.
- Manage medical supplies inventory, sterilize equipment, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a healthcare setting, preferred obstetrics.
- Certified/Registered Medical Assistant from an accredited school/organization is required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Rescusitation (CPR) are required.
