Bloom Tea is a new tea lounge and community space in Oro Valley offering crafted tea beverages, tea lattes, specialty drinks, toasties, pastries, parfaits, and other light bites. Position Summary
The Barista plays a key role in delivering excellent guest experiences through high-quality beverage preparation, friendly service, and consistent support in both front-of-house and back-of-house tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tea drinks, tea lattes, matcha drinks, and other crafted beverages
- Prepare and serve light bites including toasties, pastries, parfaits, and other simple food items
- Provide warm, attentive customer service
- Handle transactions accurately using the POS system
- Assist with food prep, portioning, and assembly of menu items
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, equipment, and seating spaces
- Follow food safety standards and Arizona health code guidelines
- Restock supplies and support opening/closing procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Required Qualifications
- Barista experience required
- Arizona Food Handler’s Card (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Customer service experience in a café, restaurant, or similar environment
- Reliable and flexible availability, including weekends or evenings
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in or familiarity with real loose-leaf tea (not tea bags) and a desire to learn brewing methods and flavor profiles
- Experience preparing food in a café or quick-service environment
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
