Position Profile
We are seeking a skilled, reliable Phlebotomist to support mobile lab collection across our patient population. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, managing their own daily route, and delivering high-quality patient care in the field.
Phlebotomist Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws in patient homes, assisted living communities, and other residential settings
- Ensure accurate patient identification, labeling, and specimen handling
- Prepare, store, and transport specimens according to protocol
- Manage daily schedule and travel between patient locations
- Communicate effectively with clinical teams regarding lab orders and completion
- Maintain supply inventory and ensure readiness for daily routes
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy certification (CPT, RPT, or equivalent) or relevant experience
- 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Strong venipuncture skills (including difficult draws)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solution driven, creative and resourceful problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage time well and perform assigned duties with attention detail, accuracy and follow-through
- Proficient computer skills
- Valid driver's license
