Preschool Special Education Teacher

Bloom Creative Arts preschool is seeking a full time preschool special education teacher to join our family! We are looking for a Special Education Teacher for our 8:1:1 self-contained classroom at our Care-a-Lot Grand Island location. At Bloom Creative Arts Preschool we celebrate differences and focus on building relationships between children and teachers. Our gentle approach and philosophy grounded in social emotional health is teaching children to be who they are, feel their feelings, and to express themselves more effectively.

*We follow the school district calendar and teachers receive over two weeks of Paid Time Off in addition to the 9 weeks of scheduled breaks/holidays. *

Job duties include:

*The Preschool Special Education Teacher must have functional computer and tablet skills

*The Preschool Special Education Teacher must update quarterly progress and take data in the classroom

*The Preschool Special Education Teacher must analyze progress

*The Preschool Special Education Teacher must Recommend services as needed

*The Preschool Special Education Teacher must Collaborate with the general education teacher to plan curriculum and manage the classroom in a positive and effective manner

*The Preschool Special Education Teacher must maintain a clean environment

*The Preschool Special Education Teacher must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds

*The Preschool Special Education Teacher must have a positive attitude and display flexibility in a fast paced environment

*The Preschool Special Education Teacher must display excellent interpersonal skills with co-teachers.

*The Preschool Special Education Teacher must share our philosophy and embody a gentle, loving approach to education.

*Knowledge about the Zones of Regulation a plus

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
