- Monitor progress of construction work on roadway and highway projects.
- Inspect, verify, and document project is constructed in conformance with contract plans and specifications.
- Keep complete and accurate records and reports.
- Identify changes to the contract and assist in preparation of change orders.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
- Interact and communicate with team members, contractors and general public.
- Effectively multitask and prioritize construction issues through to completion.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- 1 years of experience in roadway construction.
- Working knowledge of computer programs and tools related to construction.
- Familiarity with Minnesota and/or Wisconsin Department of Transportation policies and procedures for construction.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) CADD (MicroStation preferred)
- Valid driver’s license is required
