What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) position at Bloom Behavior and Consulting Services?
Bloom BCS, an ABA provider out of SE CT, is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician! This person works directly with some of the best kids around, and has experience with developmental disabilities.
As an RBT (Registered Behavior Technician), one is responsible for the following:
- Registered Behavior Technician certified or equivalent coursework, able to sit for the certification test within one month of hire
- Worked with children of varying age ranges, experience with those with developmental disabilities
- Ability to report to case manager within 24 hours and attend bi-weekly case management reviews as necessary
- Ability to collect data and run programs as designed by case manager relevant to Discrete Trial Instruction and Naturalistic Instruction
- Ability to adhere to and run programming as designed to decrease target behaviors and increase adaptive, communicative language and behaviors
- Ability to communicate with families, clients and any other service provider on behalf of case manager and relay information in timely manner
- Respond in crisis situations as necessary - ability to attend Safety Care training within one month of hire and other trainings as required
- Ability to train others, create programming and materials in a leadership capacity based on experience in the field, application of ABA, and experience within the company
- Ability to generalize skills taught in multiple settings, lead others, and follow the code of ethics according to the BACB
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, lift up to 20 lbs.
**Availability to provide services to clients during after school hours and possible Saturday sessions needed
