What are the responsibilities and job description for the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) position at Bloom Behavior and Consulting Services?
Bloom BCS is looking for a dynamic, energetic, Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team!! The BCBA would work in a variety of settings, including home-based and school consultative cases. The BCBA is responsible for:
- Creating curriculum relevant to the treatment plan or IEP as it pertains to the individual
- Writing measurable, achievable treatment plans and objectives pertaining to the goals of each individual and their family
- Overseeing the work of each supervisee who may be pursuing their BCBA and reviewing their projects with them, data collection and application to real-world studies
- Leading group projects, supervision meetings and data reviews
- Assisting local school districts with the evaluation of challenging behaviors, development of ABA systems, and training of school district staff
- Providing oversight and data collection systems and analysis
- Supervising behavior plan implementation and creation of functional programming as relevant to IEP goals and objectives
- Assisting with evaluations to measure verbal behavior, life skills and more - VBMAPP, AFLS, ABLLS, etc.
- Responding to crisis situations as necessary, providing support to family, school team and technician, and documenting all proper steps taken
- Providing or receiving Safety Care training within first month of hire
- Providing a discharge plan and treatment goals that include fading of services over time as necessary, as well as meeting with interdisciplinary team as needed
- Communicating with families and/or service providers and responding to any concerns within 24 hours
Requirements:
Must maintain a BCBA certification or equivalent
Must maintain a Master’s degree
Prior supervisory experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, including experience creating programming and data collection
Must provide documentation on passing state background check
Physically able to sit, stand, kneel, walk, run, bend, twist, move quickly and perform CPR
