Hospital Services Coordinator (Full-Time)

In 1954, the Blood Bank of Delmarva was established in the Delmarva region as a private, not for profit agency to collect, test, and distribute blood products. Today, the Blood Bank of Delmarva is a division of New York Blood Center and is among the nation's premium providers of blood products and services and an integral part of the Delmarva community's health care system. As of October 2019, the Blood Bank of Delmarva employs approximately 175 full- and part-time employees. Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 7:00am-3:00pm
Responsibilities
The Hospital Services department is our fulfillment center. Offering training for a detail oriented person that enjoys performing a variety of tasks. Will take orders from our hospital customers, process the order, pack, and label according to written policies. Applicants with good customer service, strong computer skills, attention to detail, and who have an interest in learning are good candidates for this job.
- Packs blood and blood components in accordance with procedural guidelines and complies with AABB, FDA and state and local regulations.
- Monitors incoming orders placed by hospitals using web-based inventory ordering software.
- Interfaces with hospital personnel and provides customer service satisfaction 100% of the time.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with customers by phone
- 1 years of experience working in a fast paced order fulfillment environment requiring attention to detail
- Working knowledge of computers and MS Word.
