Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Measurement, marking, layout lines on material
- Confirm that all parts are properly fitted, aligned
- Ensure that quality control standards are met
- Test products for their functionality
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
- Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams, and pipelines.
- Mig, Tig, Arc, plasma, torch welding and cutting mild steel, stainless, aluminum, copper
- Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions thick and thin
- Drilling, grinding, machining metals of different types
- Bending, cutting, fabricate guards, parts, stand, etc…
Physical Requirements
- Must stand, walk for prolonged periods of time; climb stairs
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, reach
- Lift more than 75 lbs. on an occasional basis
- Exposed to varying temperatures hot/cold
- Must be able to move about in elevated and confined workplaces making equipment repairs and adjustments and installing
Safety, Quality And Hygiene Requirements
- Comply with all legislated and relevant laws and regulations for safety and quality including lockout tag o ut, GMP’s, HACCP,
- Must wear uniform, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, safety gear specific to work activity,
- Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- A certificate in welding is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a welder.
- Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Industrial trad certification preferred
- Experience with Ignition, Wonderware and Citech Software
- Experience with Alen Bradly, Siemens, Rockwell, Device net applications Software and hardware.
