Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and solutions-focused Data Analyst to join our team and support the entire organization by unlocking the value of our existing data. This role will focus on building and managing Power BI reports that empower end users across departments to access and interpret their key performance indicators (KPIs) with minimal ongoing support. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Connect to and extract data from disparate systems and SQL databases across the organization.
- Design and create visually appealing and interactive dashboards using Power BI.
- Using Power BI, build data models, create relationships between data sources, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Implement advanced features and functionality in Power BI, such as custom visuals and DAX formulas, to meet specific reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all departments to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms.
- Utilize Power Query and Excel functions to clean, transform, and analyze data.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement through data solutions.
- Document data sources, report logic, and user guides to support self-service analytics
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2 years of professional experience in data analysis or business intelligence.
- Ability to quickly learn, use and troubleshoot applications in multiple environments.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
- Strong technical ability in Power BI, SQL, DAX and VBA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in requirement gathering techniques, process modeling, and documentation.
- Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction technology or familiarity with data in construction, engineering, or utilities industries.
- Exposure to API integration or management.
- Understanding of data governance and best practices for secure data handling.
