What are the responsibilities and job description for the Espresso Bar Sales Associate position at Bloedorn Lumber?
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas.
- Serve food items and adhere to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
- Operate coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
- Greet customers and take orders, including offering menu recommendations, promoting menu options, and noting dietary restrictions and customizations.
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and complaints in a polite and efficient manner.
- Make drinks according to company recipes and standards.
- Restock supplies, such as cups, lids, coffee beans, and syrups.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and sanitation regulations.
- Work point-of-sale (POS) system to complete transactions.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and inventory tasks.
- Attend and participate in Bloedorns-sponsored training, when required.
- Perform other assigned duties, responsibilities, or tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
An Espresso Bar Sales Associate must:
- Complete and pass a pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background screen.
- Speak, write, and communicate effectively in the English language.
- Possess interpersonal and customer-relation skills.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
- Operate a computer, calculator, and cash register.
- Utilize Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Espresso Bar Sales Associates:
- Work in an indoor setting.
- Occasionally lift/move objects up to 50 pounds, stand, and walk.
- Regularly stand, use hands, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear.
