Job Summary: The Finished Product Packer is responsible for packaging finished products according to company specifications while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. This position involves inspecting products, preparing packaging materials, labeling and packaging completed products, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Package finished products according to established procedures and production requirements.
- Inspect finished products for quality, defects, damage, or packaging issues.
- Place products into boxes, bags, containers, or other designated packaging.
- Properly label and identify finished products.
- Assemble and seal boxes, cartons, or other packaging materials.
- Weigh and verify products as required.
- Move packaged products to designated areas for storage or shipment.
- Maintain accurate production and packaging records.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with general production duties as needed.
- Report equipment, product, or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, reach, and use hands.
- Ability to lift and move products and packaging materials as required.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Manufacturing/production environment.
- May be exposed to moving equipment, noise, dust, temperature variations, and other typical manufacturing conditions.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prefer the temps to have 8” steel toed boots but will accept 6” steel toed boots.
