Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold health standards and ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various menu items
- Support catering and banquet events by preparing necessary food items and maintaining cleanliness throughout service
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, and surface sanitation
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to safety regulations
- Support serving staff with bussing tables and resetting dining areas quickly and efficiently
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff to meet service goals
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of basic food handling practices and sanitation standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items or bending frequently
