Position Summary


The Enterprise Architect (EA) is responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing the organization’s overall technology architecture. This role ensures that all business, application, data, and infrastructure architectures align with the company’s strategic goals. The EA works closely with executives, IT leadership, project teams, and business stakeholders to define architectural standards, drive digital transformation, and ensure long-term scalability and stability of enterprise systems.


Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Governance


Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, principles, and roadmap.


Align technology initiatives with long-term business objectives and corporate strategy.


Define architecture policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.


Govern architectural compliance and review major IT initiatives for alignment.


2. Solution & System Architecture Design


Design end-to-end architecture for enterprise applications, platforms, and ecosystems.


Define integration strategies between systems, APIs, data layers, and cloud platforms.


Evaluate and select enterprise technologies, tools, and architecture patterns.


Ensure that systems are scalable, secure, reliable, and aligned with industry standards.


3. Business and IT Alignment


Collaborate with business leaders to understand processes, requirements, and goals.


Translate business strategy into technical roadmaps and architectural designs.


Advise on digital transformation, business process optimization, and technology modernization.


Drive enterprise-wide initiatives such as automation, cloud adoption, and data modernization.


4. Technology Evaluation & Innovation


Conduct research on emerging technologies, platforms, and frameworks.


Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives to validate new solutions.


Recommend innovative approaches to enhance system efficiency and business value.


Benchmark the technology landscape against industry best practices and competitors.


5. Cross-Functional Collaboration


Partner with CTO, CIO, IT directors, and project managers to deliver enterprise solutions.


Work with solution architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and security teams to ensure architectural consistency.


Provide guidance and mentorship to technical teams on design principles.


Support project planning, estimation, risk analysis, and resource management.


6. Architecture Documentation


Produce architecture diagrams, reference models, design specifications, and system maps.


Maintain up-to-date architecture repositories and documentation.


Create clear technical guidelines for development, integration, and security.


7. Security, Compliance & Risk Management


Ensure all architectures comply with security standards, data protection policies, and regulatory requirements.


Identify architectural risks and propose mitigation strategies.


Work with cybersecurity teams to embed security into architecture designs (“security by design”).


Qualifications & Requirements

Education


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.


Master’s degree or MBA preferred.


Experience


8–12 years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or related technical leadership roles.


Proven experience in designing complex enterprise-level systems.


Familiarity with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.


Experience in large-scale digital transformation and modernization projects.
