Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Leasing Consultant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your expertise in property leasing, customer service, and legal administrative procedures will ensure a seamless experience for applicants while supporting the overall success of our property management operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet prospective residents warmly and provide comprehensive tours of available units and community amenities
- Promote property features through engaging presentations and upselling techniques to maximize occupancy rates
- Manage leasing applications, verify applicant information, and process lease agreements accurately using Yardi or OneSite property management software
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 guidelines, LIHTC requirements, and landlord-tenant laws during all leasing activities
- Maintain detailed records of leasing activities, data entry, filing, and legal documentation in accordance with company policies
- Address resident inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate property upkeep and ensure units are move-in ready
Requirements
- Proven experience in property leasing, property management, or real estate administrative roles with a focus on customer service excellence
- Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and landlord-tenant law
- Proficiency in Yardi, OneSite, or similar property management software; experience with CMMS or Facilities Management systems is a plus
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to upsell amenities and lease terms effectively
- Legal administrative experience including contracts, filing systems, data entry, and document management
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle resident concerns professionally and diplomatically
- Office experience demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining positive relationships with residents and team members
