We are seeking a Personal Injury Case Manager Assistant to support our pre-litigation team. This role is ideal for someone with foundational knowledge of personal injury cases who is looking to grow their career and gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced case managers and attorneys.
The Case Manager Assistant plays a critical role in keeping cases moving efficiently by assisting with documentation, client communication, medical record coordination, and case organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesCase Support & Administration- Assist Case Managers with pre-litigation personal injury cases
- Open and maintain claims with insurance carriers under supervision
- Oversee requests for medical records and billing
- Organize case files, records, and correspondence
- Track treatment status, deadlines, and outstanding items
- Assist with demand preparation (medical records, billing summaries, exhibits)
- Communicate with clients regarding treatment updates, documentation needs, and general case status
- Follow up with medical providers for records, bills, and liens
- Coordinate with insurance adjusters as directed by Case Managers
- Accurately update case management software and internal trackers
- Ensure files are complete, organized, and compliant with firm procedures
- Collaborate with Case Managers, attorneys, and other staff
- Support team goals and assist with special projects as needed
- 1 year of experience in a California personal injury law firm or legal support role preferred
- Basic understanding of personal injury cases, medical records, and insurance processes
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn and grow into increased responsibility
- Experience with case management software preferred
- California PI experience a plus
- $20-$30 per hour depending on experience
